Job Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Tai Chi Instructor to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Tai Chi principles and philosophy, along with the ability to effectively teach and motivate students of all skill levels. As a Tai Chi Instructor, you will be responsible for planning and leading classes, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, and guiding students in the practice of this ancient Chinese martial art for improved physical and mental well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Class Instruction:
- Plan and conduct Tai Chi classes for individuals or groups, focusing on proper techniques, form, and breathing exercises.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.
- Provide clear and concise instructions, demonstrations, and corrections to enhance students’ understanding and performance.
- Integrate traditional Tai Chi forms, movements, and philosophies into class curricula to ensure a holistic approach to well-being.
- Emphasize safety during practice, ensuring that students follow proper techniques to prevent injuries.
- Encourage mindfulness and stress reduction through Tai Chi practice to enhance overall mental and emotional wellness.
- Student Engagement:
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated, supported, and encouraged to achieve their personal wellness goals.
- Provide individualized attention and feedback to students to enhance their learning experience.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Tai Chi Instructor with a track record of successful class instruction.
- Certification in Tai Chi instruction from a recognized organization.
- In-depth knowledge of Tai Chi principles, forms, and philosophy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
- Passion for promoting holistic well-being and mindfulness through Tai Chi.
Preferred:
- Additional certifications in related fields such as yoga, meditation, or fitness.
- Experience in organizing and leading workshops or seminars.
